Alexander Grundmeier is a professional representative before the European Patent Office and holds a doctorate in physics. His many years of work in industry and technology transfer, have given him extensive experience with regard to a wide range of technologies as well as intellectual property protection.

In addition to handling invention disclosures, his responsibilities also include patent law counseling during product development (especially freedom to operate analyses) as well as topics such as inventor remuneration and patent searches.

Alexander Grundmeier worked for more than seven years in the patent department of Leica Microsystems in Mannheim, during which he was particularly involved with inventions in the fields of optics, detector technology, electronics and software.

Following his doctorate in a biophysical research group at Free University of Berlin, Alexander Grundmeier worked for two years for the technology transfer unit of the Max Planck Society in Munich, where he assisted in advising inventors as well as in the filing and subsequent commercialization of intellectual property rights.
